A group of progressive activists holds a rally condemning the participation of a U.S. aircraft carrier in the planned South Korean-U.S. joint naval drill in front of the Yongsan U.S. military base in Seoul on Nov. 26. The aircraft carrier USS George Washington is to participate in the joint naval drill set for Nov. 28 in the Yellow Sea. [Yonhap]

The police should just take their photos and ID numbers and remember to pick them up when the Norks attack.
Those people are either traitors or cowards and either way they're dead weight on a struggling economy.
They should be totally humiliated, along with their parents for acting that way after so many dead and wounded in the recent attacks.

Somehow I doubt that any of these folks protested when NK sunk the Cheonan.
7:59 am on December 6th, 2010 3
Either hand over the ROK to the DPRK or bomb the DPRK.

"Somehow I doubt that any of these folks protested when NK sunk the Cheonan."
If they did, I'd be the first to defend their freedom expression…But, you're probably right.

Well they earned their W60,000 that day. It was cold.
/Why doesn't the government move them all to Yeonpyeongdo? It might adjust their attitude.
9:28 am on December 6th, 2010 6
I would call them NOPPs. Numbnuts on Pyongyang's Payroll. Hate to disappoint, little fifth-columnists, but none of you would enjoy it if your side won, they'd probably just send you to a gulag anyway!
10:40 am on December 6th, 2010 7
You read the signs. So when are you guys leaving again?
10:47 am on December 6th, 2010 8
"Well they earned their W60,000 that day. It was cold."
I always wondered about that one. Who pays for this? North Korea? Probably not. It's most probably just another political dirty trick.
10:49 am on December 6th, 2010 9
"You read the signs. So when are you guys leaving again?
"
When North Korea starts acting like a responsible member of the international community…In other words, once it's absorbed by South Korea.

If they all went back, Tom, your homeland of Canadia would become too crowded >:
12:43 pm on December 6th, 2010 11
Tom when are going back to Beijing for further training? I would like for you to post pics of your visit upon your return.

"If they all went back, Tom, your homeland of Canadia would become too crowded >:"
Actually, us Canadians are becoming a novelty here in South Korea. The Canadian economy is quite strong, and it's much easier for those straight out of university to get a stable job. Never seen so many Americans, though.
2:25 pm on December 6th, 2010 13
At least these people actually live in Korea. I disagree with them (and think they are being used) but that is what previous generations of Koreans, Americans, Brits, Turks, and many others fought and died for and many young Koreans and Americans in this generation stand and defend today: The right of these people to make douche bags of themselves.
2:36 pm on December 6th, 2010 14
When you put it like that… Reminds me of an old editorial cartoon I saw, contrasting Australians at Gallipoli saying "Don't worry, mates, some day it'll all be worth it, a better world for yer kids…" with the second panel of today's p.o.s. kids complaining to grandpa that their welfare checks don't cover the cost of pot these days or something like that.
Freedom for all means freedom for jackasses too, alas.

#8 There are many North Korean spies in South Korea, including the ones who staged the MacArthur statue protest. They are on North Korea's payroll.
2:58 pm on December 6th, 2010 16
I don't wish harm to anyone in particular; but these folks could catch on fire with me having an urgent need to pee and I'd walk past 'em to find a public loo to relieve myself…
Many of my friends and relatives came from the Communist countries. Many others didn't make it out alive. I respect the right to exercise reasonable free speech. I do not recognize the right to commit treason in time of war.
3:15 pm on December 6th, 2010 17
As an Australian, that MacArthur statue protest made me feel pretty conflicted. I'd have loved for someone to bump off that SOB[MacArthur]'s statue. Just didn't want the other pricks[Norks] to get the satisfaction.
Very confusing time.
3:55 pm on December 6th, 2010 18
MacArthur made a lot of mistakes in the Korean War but SOB isn't one of the things I would attribute to him.
4:41 pm on December 6th, 2010 19
Its an older grudge than the Korean War. As for SOB, I'd apologise to his mother for it, but not to him.

Maybe, but Atwork's explanation is just as likely.

Just more useful idiots, right Tom?

Some people just can't take a hint that they're not wanted, even when you show them the signs..
11:44 am on December 7th, 2010 23
Look, I'll say this straight with no BS.
You guys don't like Koreans, you say it all the time, and that Koreans eat dogs and Koreans are bad people and that West is better. And we Koreans don't like you either. The dislike is mutual. If you don't like this fact, then go home.
12:02 pm on December 7th, 2010 24
"We Koreans", lol

#23 Tom, numbnuts, if you want the US to leave, why are you wasting your time here. I mean I like ROKDROP, but even it does not have the power to make the US leave. Get off your fat, lazy,a$$ and get out there and protest to YOUR government. If they want us out of here, fine, where is the ticket line – all your government has to do is say "go home".
1:20 pm on December 7th, 2010 26
No I like it here, I'm not leaving here at all.
2:26 pm on December 7th, 2010 27
Tom, I like Kagogi and love Kimchi. The smell of Garlic in the morning makes my sheets rise.
That being said, I still believe that the west is best. But western women—not so much.
Korea has great possibilities as does America. But you know this already.
After all—you "like it here".
2:55 pm on December 7th, 2010 28
You like eating dogs? There really is something wrong with you there.
I have to disagree with you that West is best. We'll see about that in few years who will emerge with a better living standard.

Africa will win, of course.

Tom #23, I can't speak for anyone else but I love Korea (south of the DMZ). When I was stationed there I would have been willing to give my live to protect the freedom of the Korean people. I'm 56 years old & I had the best year of my life when I was stationed in Korea. To criticize some actions of some Koreans like the loons in the story above is not hating all Koreans. Americans have done things wrong such as locking up Japanese-American citizens during the second world war or by not giving women the right to vote for many years. By saying this is not hating my country. I hope that YOU would criticize some actions of some Koreans such as the appeasement attitude which is directly responsible for the NK artillery attack on the SK island & the sinking of the Cheonan.

The Canadian economy is doing quite well you say…must be nice that the US Military allows you to save several 100 billion dollars by only having to pay for a military force that is only required to repel no more than a Boy Scout Troop.
2:19 pm on December 8th, 2010 32
I'm always amazed that the North Koreans can kill as many South Koreans as they want and the outspoken liberal South Koreans just ignore their actions. Quiet as a church mouse they are. But when US soldiers accidentally drive an American Army tank over two girls then the liberals protest for years. It was a terrible tragedy and I am sorry for the lost lives and their relatives that have to live with the terrible tragedy but it was an accident. However, during all this time the rest of the pro-American South Koreans just sit by and say nothing. I think that the US military should pull out of South Korea and let the ROK take care of the North Koreans or vice versa. Just sit back in Japan and watch the fireworks…after all when it's all over and Seoul is a burning smoking pile of rubble the bleeding hearts in the US will require the US to go back in and pay to rebuild the country. After all…we have done it once already.

#32, Free Radical,
GI convicted for 3 years for forcible entry into a house, threatening and assaulting the 74 year old occupant of the house, forcibly raping a 9 year old child, stealing a car, then robbing a gas station.

A typical day of a US GI soldier in Korea.
Of course, he would be considered framed by you guys.
