My wife & I went to Nashville, TN today (about a hours drive from our home) to eat in a Korean restaurant. The bulgogi was far too sweet. Anyway we were watching a Korean talent show on TV and it absolutely amazed me how many of the contestants had dyed their hair blond as one girl in the photo above has done. When I was stationed in Korea in '79-'80 I never say one female in the whole year that I was there who ever had dyed her hair blond. I did see some women whose hair was somewhat reddish. Looking at some of those beautiful women on TV, well my table started to rise, lol.
I know someone who was in the entertainment industry here. She quit because the moment she was becoming popular because of a role she played on TV, her agent started receiving midnight phone calls asking her to meet industry players in their hotel room for an "interview". It would be good for her career, they were promised. She was also offered a "sponsorship" by a very wealthy businessman. She would have been at his beck and call while he would have made sure she'd become a huge star (Ever wonder why we never hear anything about who the biggest Korean stars are dating?)
One of my former students, a very attractive woman, used to be quite well known for her appearance on a very popular TV commercial. She told me she still got calls to appear in additional TV ads. When I asked he why she wasn't doing them anymore, she replied, "I don't want to live like that".
You don't live in or around Clarksville, do you? Just curious because we own a house there and will hopefully be moving there in the next year…I'd hate to think we'll have to drive all the way to Nashville to find a Korean restaurant.
Nomad #9, We live in Bowling Green, KY. There are a bunch of Korean restaurants near Ft Campbell. When we go to Ft Campbell to go to the Commissary or PX we usually eat at a Korean restaurant called Momo's. It's on the main drag (Ft Campbell Blvd I think) that runs in front of FC. BTW if you like steakhouses there is one near FC in Oak Grove, TN called Charlies steakhouse (not O'Charlies although there is one of those also near FC). It is the BEST steakhouse that I have ever eaten at, PERIOD. There steaks are delicious. Don't miss it, you'll thank me! I've eaten at high end steakhouses such as Ruth's Chris (there is one of those in Nashville) but Charlies Steakhouse is better & far cheaper.
Nah, that's because there aren't any paparazzi in Korea. They'd get sued.
South Korea has its fair share of loud mouthed unattractive drugged up celebrities… You just never hear about it until they're arrested for possession. Then, it would be the end of their career.
That wouldn't happen in the US. They'd get more publicity, but less work. They'd end up on a reality show in the hopes of making a comeback. Hell, you don't need talent to get paid if you're a celebrity in the US, so even if nobody wants to work with them, they can still get paid. How much do you think Paris Hilton gets paid to be seen walking into a night club?
Have you ever seen a 'making of' for one of these Female 'stars' videos? Bout a hundred people involved and the only female is the one being filmed and directed to dance like a slut. The Korean entertainment industry is a corrupt rape-factory run by lechers and pedophiles. They need to burn the whole thing to the ground.
Where is the outcry? It is obvious: The Korean entertainment industry is deeply involved in PHT!
On the other hand, just as with the juicy's, these girls know exactly what they are getting into. They are willing to make the deal. The longer they are on top you know they are still willing to be on bottom. It's worth it to them. Who are we to judge?
Thanks for the info…I'll definitely check out the steak restaurant. What I'm really looking forward to (beside the fishing) are the BBQ restaurants, of which I'm sure there are tons to chose from. I can't wait
#6…. in the mid/late 80's there was a club in Yongjugol where all the working girls had blonde hair…. It never looked right to me, so I frequented the place down the street!

Stories abound in the entertainment world, but hopefully these gals have not been humiliated, used and/or abused behind the scenes.

Compared to all the loud mouthed unattractive drugged up whores you find in Hollywood, these girls are angels.

Tom Langley, have you ever been to the "Bar" across the road from the steak house, on the main street?
(you don't have to answer that)

Good answer. FYI you didn't miss a thing, unless there has been a serious upgrade since 1987.

#22. That place (blond haired girls) was great! Even though one of our fellow LT's initially thought the girls were Australian!
