Why Are Koreans Being Attacked In Libya?

It looks like the Libyans like to rough up Koreans at construction sites:

Three South Koreans have been injured in Tripoli, the capital city of Libya, after hundreds of angry protestors there raided a Korean builder’s construction site, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said Monday.

This is the fourth such attack on a Korean firm operating in Libya this year.

The ministry said one of the Koreans was seriously wounded after being stabbed during a standoff. But the details of the victim’s condition were not known.

It added that protestors, who were armed with guns and swords, beat the workers up.  [Korea Times]

Read the rest at the link, but I wonder if the protesters any Libya are targeting Korean construction sites because they resent them for working for the ruling regime or are these just thugs trying to take advantage of the increasing chaos in the country to squat on property being constructed by the Koreans?

I think latter is it, because Koreans aren't the only foreigners who are working in Libya.

The violent people are, as violent people often do, hiding under a flag of religion or a banner of democracy to cover their greed and malice. In fact, they are litle different than the government they facilitated for so many years…

    2,

Did it occur to you that pro-Khadaffi thugs might be behind this?
