  When I first arrived in Korea in 1988, I knew nothing about Korea. There was a few lines in the reference book and a pic of a woman in a Hanbok. While on the bus from Osan to Yongsan I was checking out the population. Not one Hanbok. Jeans and mini-skirts only. I turned to the young troop next to me and said, "The Army has lied to me again. This isn't Korea. This is California. (like I had ever been to either location before then)
