What is it or where is it?

Kushibo is right, it is Seoul Nat'l University main gait.

But where is the main gate is located?

Gwanak, Seoul, South Korea to be more specific!

I think the gate is supposed to represent stylized versions of Seoul's initials: ㅅ and ㄷ for 서울 대학교. In fact, it looks like the entire 서 is there.

Goddammit this was the easiest one ever and I missed it.

Some joke that it represents the three interests of an SNU student: ㅅ, ㄷ and ㄱ for 술, 담배 and 계집.

(It actually stands for 국립 서울 대학교.)

Kangagi got it just before Kushibo, so he gets the point.

Respectfully, I would say that this is at least a tie. Given the infrastructure logistics of Internet usage on this island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, I may in fact have hit SUBMIT COMMENT before kangaji. :)

Ah, that would explain the weirdness on top.

Are you sure, though, that it's not 서울 국립 대학교?

    #9,

That's it, blame the internet. Fact remains, you could have been a whole 59.9 seconds too late.

Well, I thought I could gain sympathy by tying the blame game to Al Gore. ;)

Kush, are you thinking about it like parallel to 서울 시립 대학교? I am pretty sure the official name is 국립 서울 대학교.

Kushibo – Go to Center for Korean Studies on the University of Hawaii at Manoa Campus and look at the table on the right side of the stairs. You can get some free books there as a consolation prize. Also, I think Next Thursday they will be having a talk about How the Korean Wave is effecting the Japanese. You can get on their mailing list by talking to Brandie Chun/Houghtailing. Enjoy Oahu!
