Well here was the lead story on KBS Global when I clicked over there:
The Foreign Ministry says a claim made by new Japanese Foreign Minister Takeaki Matsumoto that South Korea’s Dokdo islets is inappropriate and unjustified.
South Korean Ministry spokesman Cho Byung-jae on Thursday told a news briefing that Dokdo is South Korea’s sovereign territory historically, geographically and in terms of international law.
The spokesman added that Seoul will deal sternly with such claims in the context of safeguarding the country’s territorial sovereignty.
In a new conference upon taking office, Matsumoto repeated Tokyo’s claim that Dokdo is Japanese territory. [KBS Global]
This is hardly news because what do people expect the new foreign minister is going to say? Of course when asked a Japanese foreign minister is going to say that. With Japan recent growing tensions with the Russians over the Kuril Islands the Japanese government is not going to budge on the Dokdo issue.

That's the last straw. Dunkin' Donuts is closing their stores and pulling out of Japan.

I really don't care anymore now that my kid is old enough to question the indoctrination.

So what are you indoctrinating your kid?

I mentioned it HERE before, but this is what Seoul and Tokyo should do to put this behind themselves and move forward, with a bit of quid pro quo.
Japan should officially acknowledge South Korea’s claim on Tokto while South Korea tacitly acknowledges Japan’s EEZ claim around Okinotorishima.
When I wrote the link above, I said that this would tick off China, so it has to be done when Korea doesn’t care about ticking off China, or they need to tick them off as a tactical move (like in response to China rounding up North Koreans).
Since that time, China stood behind North Korea after the sinking of the Ch'ŏnan and then the shelling of Yŏnpyŏng-do, so have at it, Seoul and Tokyo.

Here's a possible alternative idea: The U.S. obliterates the islets, tells the retarded school children to stop fighting over "who's ball it is" and go play in separate areas of the playground.
Extra credit assignment: Obliterate N. Korea, give the world and the media a break from it's 50+ year baby-sitting duties.

"Dokdo" sounds like a little kid trying to say "Dunkin Donuts". Maybe the UN could establish a mandate and appoint a high commissioner. Kushibo, when will you be available?

Thanks, CH.
I was under the impression that LLaP mistakenly believed Dunkin’ Donuts was a homegrown Korean chain, and I simply wanted to make sure.

Sure. My first act would be to put up a 24/7 McD's.
