I noticed Asian Correspondent didn't list a BETTER writing system than hangul. They can STFU. http://www.amazon.com/Korean-Alphabet-1446-Exposi… This shows you how to adapt hangul into an IPA equivalent system. Except the symbols are easier to pick up because of the phoneme based design principles. Friggin' IPA is based on arbitrary consonants ultimately from semetic pictographs. Middle Korean 훈민정음 actually makes more sense than contemporary 한글 if you study it – and this book really proves that. Here's my challenge – find a better alphabet than 한글 to write Korean in besides modified versions of 1446 Hangeul. Any takers?
