Pretty slow month in regards to incidents this past month in the March USFK Court Martial Results which is good to see, but still there was two more DUI cases which is not good to see.  There is just no excuse why anyone should be drinking and driving in Korea with the excellent public transportation available.  Anyway below are the court martial results:

Court-Martial Results for March 2011

At a special court-martial on 8 March 2011, SSG Shanadra N. Wilson, Bravo Forward Support Company, 6th Battalion, 37th Field Artillery, 201th Fires Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, was convicted of 3 specifications of making a false official statement and 2 specifications of larceny.  She was sentenced to be reduced to the grade of E-1, confinement for 30 days, and a Bad-Conduct Discharge.

At a special court-martial on 9 March 2011, PFC Clifford N. Brooks II, A Company, 602d Aviation Support Battalion, 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, was convicted of 1 specification of absence without leave and acquitted of 1 specification of desertion.  He was sentenced to be reduced to the grade of E-1, confinement for 75 days, and a Bad-Conduct Discharge.

At a general court-martial on 23-25 March 2011, SGT Allison Somerset, F Company, 6th Battalion, 52nd Air Missile Defense, 35th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, 8th Army, was convicted of 1 specification of larceny and 3 specifications of making a false official statement, and acquitted of 2 specifications of fraud against the United States and 3 specifications of making a false official statement.  She was sentenced to confinement for 120 days and a Bad-Conduct Discharge.

At a summary court-martial on 31 March 2011, SSG Donna R. Smithers, Charlie Company, Division Special Troops Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, was convicted of 1 specification of failure to obey a lawful order and 1 specification of dereliction of duties, and acquitted of 1 specification of willful disobedience of a noncommissioned officer.  She was sentenced to forfeiture of one-half of one month’s pay.

Results of ROK Criminal Prosecutions for March 2011

In Daegu District Court on 3 March 2011, SPC Justin R. Baldree, B Btry, 2-1st ADA (USAG-Daegu (Carroll), was convicted of infliction of bodily injury.  His adjudged sentence was a 1,000,000 Won fine.

In Daegu District Court on 10 March 2011, SFC Peter J. Koch, HHB, 2-1st ADA, USAG-Daegu (Carroll), was convicted of DUI.  His adjudged sentence was a 1,000,000 Won fine.

In Daegu District Court on 25 March 2011, PFC Stephen M. Palmer, DLD-R, USAG-Daegu, was convicted of assault.  His adjudged sentence was a 1,000,000 Won fine.

In Suwon District Court on 28 March 2011, SPC Marcus J. Samuelson, HHC, 602d ASB, USAG-Humphreys, was convicted of larceny, DUI and driving without a license.  His adjudged sentence was a 2,000,000 Won fine.

In Suwon District Court on 30 March 2011, SSgt Sam Phaphon, an airman on leave to Korea attached to 694th ISRC, Osan Air Base, was convicted of infliction of bodily injury with a dangerous instrument.  His adjudged sentence was imprisonment for 1-1/2 years, suspended for 2 years.
