Donald Trump Blasts China & South Korea Again

» by in: Politics-US

Trump is once again blasting away at South Korean defense spending at the KORUS-FTA:

Under a President Trump, China would be forced to end currency manipulation or face a 25 percent tariff on all exports to the United States. OPEC oil-producing nations would have to drop the price of a barrel or oil to $40-50 or face America’s wrath. And Arab nations and South Korea would pay for benefiting from America’s military might.

He singled out the recent trade pact with South Korea, signed after a military showdown with communist-ruled North Korea, saying it was a “joke” with insufficient benefits for the United States.

“We go over there, we protect them, we protect them with our ships … Did anyone pay us for this? No! So, what is happening is mind-boggling.”  [Reuters]

You can read more about what he had to say at the link, but it is the same stuff that Trump said a month ago that I already responded to.

Anyway like I said before I hope Trump runs just for the blogging material it will provide.  Anyway Kushibo has own idea on what reality TV star should run for the Democrat party.  In this day an age why not?

The Marmot has more on “The Donald” as well.

"Under a President Trump, China would be forced to end currency manipulation or face a 25 percent tariff on all exports to the United States."

What party is he running for again? Does that sound conservative to you?

The Donald is a modern day P.T. Barnum. He will continue to say outrageous things to get media attention. His next pitch will be to reveal all the secrets of alien abductions if he is elected president.

Ignore him and he will go away.

ha ha ha.. I like to see Trump try all these things he says he will do. LOL. Let's see how fast the US will collapse under his crazy lunatic policies. This is an American thinking, how typically stupid and ignorant. LOL.

#3 Joec, That's the first question you have? "what party is he running for again?" If you spent more time wondering IF he had a point rather than looking for circus references, you might make some sense.

"Ignore him and he will go away." That's what the Ostrich does when it is afraid. Is that fear I smell on you

Good little Liberal that you are Joec. Only thing you know how to do is ridicule that which you fear.

    Even TOM agrees with you.

"Under a President Trump, China would be forced to end currency manipulation or face a 25 percent tariff on all exports to the United States."

Clearly, the guy doesn't shop at Wal-Mart. No, I don't mean he's classy. A 25% tariff on Chinese imports is a tax on the poor.

"OPEC oil-producing nations would have to drop the price of a barrel or oil to $40-50 or face America’s wrath. "

Moron doesn't even know where the US gets most of its oil from nowadays. No, it's not an OPEC member. Besides, how much does gas cost Americans at the pump? Isn't it one of the lowest in developed countries?

"He singled out the recent trade pact with South Korea, signed after a military showdown with communist-ruled North Korea, saying it was a “joke” with insufficient benefits for the United States.

“We go over there, we protect them, we protect them with our ships … Did anyone pay us for this? No! So, what is happening is mind-boggling.”"

Well, the fact it pisses off China and North Korea is ample reason for the USFK to exist…and I get the feeling he's really just pissed off he isn't getting as many defense contracts as he'd wish.

    Americans are dumb.

So you want to slap 25% tax on China? Go ahead. Let's see who then is going to buy your budget deficits. Let's see who's going to lend you more money. Let's see what you will do when other countries start selling all your worthless treasuries.

So you demand Arab countries to cut their prices by half.. well, what if they don't? What are you going to do? Cut military protection? Go ahead, let's see what happens to the oil price when you do. Whether they stay up or they go down when you do cut off the relationships with the Arabs to spite your own face. You can always pull the same stunt you pulled on Iraq. But that one didn't turn out too well, did it? Now you want to make enemies of the entire Middle East and their Muslim world? Go RIGHT AHEAD, my dear stupid friends. LOL. Al Queda will love you guys for it! LOL.

As for FTA with S.Korea. Good thinking, we don't want it either. We don't want your inferior quality junk cars here anyway, we should slap GM Korea with all kinds of tariffs, we got too many of those junks being driven around Seoul. You signed the contract few years ago, you renaged on the deal, you whined and whined about how it was a bad deal for you, so we gave you another opportunity to renegotiate, and in the process, we ended up giving into all your blackmailing demands. Now you say it's still not enough. I say hell with it! Go take your FTA and stuff it back to where the sun don't shine!

As for US military base. When are you guys going to leave? We did you a favor by allowing your military base to project your power in the Pacific, and in the process pay almost half of your costs. And also we're building you $12 billion new camp so that you can house your soldiers way south of the where the real action is. You think you can find another military base in the US for that amount of money that you spend in Korea? Go right ahead, try, close up Korea, and move back the division to Arizona. Let Uncle Sam handle all the costs involved, which I would think would be much more substantial. Or you can simply disband your entire unit. Make all those 25,000 GI's unemployed, give them your generous social benefits funded by Uncle Sam's tax payers.

I can't wait for you guys to make an enemy out of the entire world. I really can't. You guys still think you can go it alone. Let's see if you can, either you sink or swim.

I know it is easy to call Trump dumb but the guy is not dumb. You don't become a billionaire by being dumb. He sees an opportunity to win the Republican nomination because of how weak the Republican candidates are. He also knows that to win the nomination he cannot run as a traditional candidate due to all his prior baggage.

This is why he is trying to tie himself to the Tea Party movement with his populist talking points. He is hoping that this will cause all these voters to overlook all the prior baggage he is carrying. So far his strategy is working but can he sustain until next year's primaries? I guess we will find out, but the guy is not stupid. .

Let me HELP you. You should follow the examples of #s 12, 13 and 14.

They are good Liberals. When you have nothing of importance, ridicule and belittle Trump, conservatives, independents or whoever else does not fall in line.

After all, it works. Why does it work? Because TOM is correct.

Do NOT defend Trump in any way GI Korea! A good Liberal would never do that.

    #15,

    I've got nothing?

Nah, he's got no foreign policy:

A 25% tariff on Chinese exports would be absorbed by the consumers…And who are the consumers of Chinese goods? Those who can't afford the good stuff. That's also his big plan to reduce the deficit, by the way. Raise more money by taxing the poor.

Canada is not a member of OPEC, but it is the US's largest source of oil. There goes his policy on the Middle-East.

South Korea pays a portion of the costs of keeping the USFK. What the 30-some thousand soldiers in Japan or the many thousands more in Europe? Germany, Italy, the UK…

I wouldn't buy a used car from Donald Trump… let alone, vote for him as president. I might not even piss on him if he was on fire.

He started rich by inheriting it… and made (and lost) more by blatantly ripping banks and investors off… and licensing his name to scam artists who shamelessly rip people off.

Politicians will say what people what to hear to achieve their personal goals. Donald trump is the poster boy for this behavior…

…and he leaves a trail of wreckage behind him as he goes.

And he is good at it.

At least Obama is in over his head so much that most of the damage he does is accidental rather than calculated.

If you love your country, please don't take Donald Trump seriously.

Tom 20, China is worried about inflation. The government has ordered banks to hold more cash. "The decision on Sunday to raise the capital reserve ratio for banks, to 20.5 percent of their cash, was the fourth such increase this year." You know what that means, Tom? They're going to buy more of our debt!

Frankly, I don't care what you guys do anymore. Nobody cares. Just like that Trump said: " everybody doesn't respect America anymore, they're all laughing at us"..

Tom, you Koreans will never get to where the US was and is today. Thousands of years of history and a country barely a few hundred years old has done something you Koreans couldn't and will never do.

Bankrupt? Maybe, but the very young country called the USA is still better off than 3rd World Korea. You Korean hillbillies simply ride coat tails of other countries and always will. Accept the fact the you're really ticks living off the charity of others.

With people like Tom, it's no wonder Korea country is so backward and has gone almost nowhere in thousands of years. Of course, real hillibillies never do go anywhere and Korea is mostly hills, isn't it Tom?

Thousands of years old and what has Korea done? Hundreds of years old and what has the US done? One thing is for sure, they mistakenly helped Korea.

I agree with Tom. Americans are dumb. We’re dumb because we should have taken care of our own citizens and allowed those such as Tom to live a wonderful life.. Just think, if it wasn’t for dumb Americans, how nice Tom would have it. Tom would be restricted to his own country and wouldn’t have to look at Americans because Tom would have no passport. Tom wouldn’t have to see GM cars, only bicycles. Tom wouldn’t be eating hamburgers and fries. Tom would be baking bread from donated American flour, or digging roots from the mountain to have for dinner. Tom would have a chance to wear a military uniform to school and have the opportunity to praise his great-leader. Tom could wear the same shirt and pants everyday. Tom would have a picture of his great-leader on the wall of his grass-hut. Tom could eat boiled sweet potatoes and not have his blood-stream poisioned by fat American beef. Tom could go barefooted and save his great-leader money that would have been spent on shoes. Yes, I totally agree, we really screwed up tom’s life.

They claim eating baked bread made out of American produced flour and sweet-potatoes, makes you smarter. So by now, Tom must be getitng smarter. Tom now realizes everyone wants the American Dollar. Tom now undersatands the Chinese Govermnet buys Treauseries to make money on interest payments. Tom now understands that the American Dollar will become stronger and the American economy will rebound like pure Gold. Tom is an expert on third world countries, so Tom now understnads the USA, will remain a strong, developed country. Tom has become so smart, he no longer has a picture of his great-leader cluttering up the walls of his new wooden house. Tom might even apply for American Citizenship. See what that American bread and Sweet-potato pie done for Tom.
