Osama Bin Laden’s Abbottabad Hideout As Seen From Google Earth

» by in: Pakistan

For those wanting to find Osama Bin Laden’s hideout on Google Earth in Abbottabad,Pakistan below are screenshots of imagery taken in 2005 when the house was constructed.  In the below screenshot you can see that the left walled area is still be constructed among other things in the courtyard around the house:

If you have a picture of the house it really isn’t that hard to find because of the unusual triangle shape the walls make when viewed from above. This next image is a screenshot from 2001 that shows that nothing was there at the time:

From Google Earth the size of the house cannot really be compared to the other structures nearby in regards to size.  Bin Laden’s house was reportedly by far the biggest house in the immediate area.  Judging just by the house alone it doesn’t stand out from other homes in the area:

The US intelligence agencies of course would have much better imagery to judge the size of the house which was supposedly one of the factors that led them to believe that Bin Laden was here.

He is an example of a typical house in the area:

From pictures I have seen of Bin Laden’s hideout many of the homes in the area may not be as big but they do appear to be nicer.  Here is a picture of Bin Laden’s hideout that actually appears a bit run down considering that it was built just back in 2005:

What does make Bin Laden’s hideout stand out is the walls around it.  The size of the walls is easily recognizable on Google Earth as being bigger than any of the other walled homes in the area.  So that is something that made it unusual.  The hideouts walls were up to 18 feet high and the above picture plus other pictures you can view of homes in the area on Google Earth show walls no where near that size.  I can understand why those walls would have been such a tip off to the intelligence agencies.

As far as how far Bin Laden’s hideout was to the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) here is a Google Earth image with a ruler marking one mile in distance from Bin Laden’s hideout to the PMA:

So the PMA was very close to where Bin Laden was hiding out.  By the way Abbottabad seems like a very nice place to have a hideout.  Google Earth has plenty of pictures of the area, but it is basically a lush green valley in the foothills of the Himalayas:

So basically Bin Laden’s hideout is something that would not obviously stick out to locals as being some place the world’s most wanted terrorist was hiding, but it would stick out to people who were specifically looking for him.  Once our intelligence agencies got eyes on this home they were pretty sure they got their man, the big question remains why wasn’t the Pakistani ISI looking for this guy as well?

Can anyone here tell me why they had to kill him? Wouldn’t he have served the world better if the mission was kept a secret and they stashed him away somewhere, waterboarded him for information and stuff? Was he holding some information that would have hurt…oh never mind.

Yeah, helicopters are really silent when they land somewhere and you’d have no idea being in the upstairs floor of a compound under fire to grab a weapon to return fire.

Come on, U.N. At least come to the public with something reasonable to seek justice about. Of all the causes to be pursued, this is what they are going on about? I’m not asking the UN to be perfect, just not preposterous.

    #1,

I don’t have any reason to believe he isn’t dead, but I still smell a rat. The facial expression on the picture of his supposed body looks exactly like the one he had on a well circulated picture of his. Either he was propped up and the picture was angled in order to highlight the resemblance or someone pulled a fast one on the reporters by circulating a Photoshopped image.

And in America we thought our real estate bubble was bad. If that’s all $1 million gets you in Abbotabad, then obviously regular terrorists have been priced out of the market.

    #6,

Yeah, not exactly what I imagined a million dollar mansion in Pakistan would look like.

The photos of the inside seen on TV and other sites make it look like a trailer in a dirt road section of Hollywood’s version of Alabama…

A big HOOOAH for the US Navy SEALS! Hey terrorists, if you f**k with us, no matter how long it may take or where ever in the world you are the same thing is going to happen to you.

You are all such ignorant servile morons. You don’t understand that OBL has been dead for 9 years, you don’t remember the other 8 times the CIA has claimed to have killed him? Don’t remember the fake photos they came out with years ago? You need to wake up and realize all of these bullshit ‘terrorists’ are funded through the UN. You think the ‘military kinetic action/no fly zone’ crap in Lybia is for some humanitarian purpose don’t you? Do you know that these UN funded ‘rebels’ in Lybia have already collapsed Lybia’s central bank and is now under the authority of the U.N.? Or that the same people have created a new huge oil company over there already.. All of this has been scripted. And now saying Pakistan can’t be trusted. Get ready for the next false flag attack.
