South Korean Man Found Crucified, Was This Suicide or Murder?

» by in: Wacky Stuff

This guy must have really pissed somebody off or is part of some wacky religious cult to go out like this:

South Korean police say they’ve found the body of a man with his hands and feet nailed to a wooden cross.

Police said Wednesday the man was found crucified Sunday in an abandoned stone quarry in Mungyong, about 115 miles (190 kilometers) southeast of Seoul.

Police say they found nylon strings around the man’s neck, arms and stomach. They say two smaller crosses were erected on each side of the cross he was nailed to.

They found nails, a hammer and instructions on how to build crosses inside a tent near the scene.

Police said they are investigating the exact cause of the man’s death and whether it was a homicide.

They identified the man as a 58-year old surnamed Kim.  [Associated Press]

The above picture comes from the Korean YTN via Robert Neff, that shows the site of the killing but has the actual crucifixion blurred out.  This Daum link provided from the Marmot’s Hole comment section shows how the crucifixion was done complete with a spear to the side, a crown of thorns, and even a mirror to look at himself hanging:

Police are even considering that this guy may of had himself crucified or even did himself based off of step by step instructions left at the scene.  This has got to be the weirdest death I have read about in some time.

“They found nails, a hammer and instructions on how to build crosses inside a tent near the scene.”

Good thing he had cross-building instructions.

That whole “nail two perpendicular pieces of wood together” always throws me and I wind up with yet another triacontatetragonal icositetrahedron.

Also, whenever I crucify myself, my feet and left hand are pretty easy but that last nail in my right hand is always a biitch to hammer in.

I think he was in the PI too long before getting out, and came back to his country to make a stupid point.

Q: Why did women love him?

A: (spread hands outward) Because he was hung like this.

    Bah-dum-bump.

Sorry… that’s not original material. The real joke asks why women love Jesus.

Here is a picture without the porrn-like blur for those of you who want to get your BDSM freak on.

    Q. What’s the difference between Jesus and a picture of Jesus?

    A. You only need one nail to hang the picture?

He was born on December 25th
He was born of a virgin.
He was born of the star in the east, and was adorned by three kings.
He was baptized when he was 30, to begin his ministry.
He had 12 disciples who he traveled about with healing the sick, miracles and walking on water.
He was called the lamb of god, the good Shepard, etc
He was crucified, buried for Three Days and then resurrected.

We’ve got the wrong guy. Quit blaming that copycat Jesus guy. Mr. Kim was obviously imitating THE ORIGINAL …(drum roll)… Horus! Hell, he beat the Jew boy by about 2500 years, and still holds the record. r. Christ has got to hang in there at least another 500 years to be the biggest myth in the jungle. Oh and, stop killing yourselves over this stuff people.

Right, so they don’t know if it’s suicide or murder? The guy’s feet and hands are nailed to the cross and they still can’t figure that one out?

There are a lot of folks who misunderstand Christianity. They forget to read the _actual_ instruction manual: biblegateway.com

Chickenhead #1, As always The Master. If somebody wanted to crucify themselves I suppose they could rig up some kind of contraption to hold a nail gun to nail their second hand. Maybe the switch could be something that you bite on or something you blow into like the controls for a quadriplegic wheelchair or computer. It maybe that this man was just murdered & that this whole setup was done so the police wouldn’t investigate further. Nobody who is a real Christian would do something like this. You get closer to Jesus by following his commandments not by crucifying yourself. If you crucify yourself as many people do in the Philippines you are trying to make yourself equal with Jesus Christ, you’re making a public spectacle of yourself which is idolatry. If this man did this to himself there needs to be a word beyond stupidity to describe it. Teadrinker #10, lol. Teadrinker, I’m sure you’re as happy as I am that the Conservatives won the Canadian elections. Just as in the 2010 elections in the US common sense voters through out tax, spend, & regulate liberals. While the President deserves praise for authorizing the OBL operation, any bump that he gets in the polls will be temporary (Just ask Presidents Bush #41, &43).

    Tom L.,

    The world has changed.

Many of us can perform the miracles of God.

A doctor can heal a leper or cure the blind. A catering company can feed 5000 people. A Korean bar owners can pretty much turn water into a sort of wine.

But I set my standards higher.

I can make a woman from a rib.

    Well…

…actually, I use a piece of warm liver or a slice a bologna in a sock. Same thing.

The Conservatives won (a rather small majority) because there’s no shortage of people out west who are insecure and close-minded. Threw out the Liberals? Dude, the NDP is, for the first time in its history, the opposition (and they won a sizable number of seats, too). The NDP makes the Liberals look ultra-conservative. Yes, they may have won but the message is crystal clear: a large segment of the Canadian population hates Harper.
