I know 6.6 million sounds like a lot, but is it just 0.00019 percent of what it cost to run the USG last year. That’s in the catagory of budget dust mites.

Topic line needs to be corrected. That’s billion with a “B”
2:33 am on June 16th, 2011 3
Correction made to the title but I don’t care what the percentage $6.6 billion is to the US government, that is still a lot of money that someone should have been accountable for.

George W Bush was a bad president.

It wasn’t too long ago that you would be accused of being an anti-military traitor for saying anything critical of our purpose, process or spending on the wars.

@4 Glans, monkey see monkey do? B.D.S. Seek help. (He was SOOOOO bad, he was re-elected)
Stop being an Yvonne. Or not, but expand on the sentence so that we can see what an Yvonne you really are. Either way.
But it is obvious to me that we did not learn the lessions of Vietnam. Number one among those is that you can’t set up a viable government where one has never existed before. Unless of course you use the Japanese model. (do it for them and to them)
Back to you Glans, you make a stupid statement like #4 when your darling leader has STILL not gotten us out. Only been 2.5 YEARS. In fact he has started a third war in Libya.

JoeC, Nope, I think you’re wrong there. You can be critical of the war all you want. I’m critical of the war. But you don’t blame the “troops”. The Troops are doing their jobs. You don’t disparage the Troops.
Many went after the President and the administration. It was almost funny. (I’d sit there and think well this guy is a democrat so I just WONDER what his line is.
The problem with the liberal dems is that they always were/are so negative. Never a surprise.
Oh the surge is going to fail? Wonder what group said that? It didn’t. When you extend your hate for the conservatives to include all military, that is too large a net. Not to mention that there are many “democrats” in the military. I had one “democrat” tell me that Condi Rice “isn’t one of us”. I over heard another democrat during the re-election state that “if you want to go home vote for the other guy.
So there was PLENTY of critical speak of the war going on. Rightly so! But leave the Troops out of it. Our current president has started a third war. Someone explain to me why Libya is important. Yes, yes I know it is the UN. No Americans on the ground (that we know of) yet. I’m critical of the president’s decision. BOTH of them. But not the Troops.
I would have thought you would know the difference. But then again, liberals run on emotions rather than facts. At least that is what I’ve observed over the last few years. Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg come to mind. Such good democrats they are. While I’m at it, what happened to Pelosi and draining the swamp? Did she only mean those on the right? Wiener is still there. The left’s little attack dog. That guys wife is beautiful! But it makes sense (in his mind) to go after women on twitter. Need we say more about that. Now he is in rehab. For what? Being horny? But I digress.
You can be as critical of the wars as you want JoeC. The process and spending as well. That will not get you the label of anti-military or traitor. But when you start on the Troops, that WILL get you the title of anti-military and traitor. Rightly so!
I thought you knew the difference! Perhaps I gave you too much credit. I thought you a smart guy. But I’ve been wrong many times about many things. Part of my learning process.
