Here is an update on the US veterans who were used as useful idiots by anti-US leftists in South Korea in regards to the Agent Orange issue:
In testimony that was critical of the U.S. military and at times emotional, two U.S. veterans asked South Korean lawmakers Monday to pressure their American counterparts to admit the U.S. extensively used Agent Orange here in the 1960s and 1970s.
“I’ve taken this as far as I can take it,” former soldier Steve House said, wiping away tears as he spoke to seven National Assembly members and dozens of reporters in Seoul. The 54-year-old mechanic claims he buried the toxic defoliant at Camp Carroll in 1978 and is now dying from illnesses, including liver disease, known to be caused by Agent Orange.
“I’m running out of time,” he told the lawmakers. “It’s up to you to take it the rest of the way, so we can get some answers for the Korean people and the Americans who were exposed to this stuff.” [Stars & Stripes]
Like I said before if these veterans are so concerned about the Korean people than why did they wait now to come forward? They are obviously trying to get the VA to recognize their Agent Orange claims. They had an audience of left wing lawmakers to speak to since no one else attended:
None of the members were from President Lee Myung-bak’s party, which supports a strong U.S. military presence in the country.
“I believe that the U.S. Congress and the National Assembly of Korea should join forces and undertake an investigation into the issue,” Assembly member Kim Son-dong said.
House and Steward arrived in Seoul on Sunday and will meet with media and travel across the peninsula to visit areas where they were once stationed before leaving Friday.
The men were invited to South Korea — and their trip paid for — by a coalition of activist groups calling for a thorough investigation into the use of Agent Orange in South Korea.
As I mentioned before there was no reason for these two to travel to South Korea other than to be used by left wing politicians looking to score political points against the ruling conservative party, especially with a Presidential election coming up next year.

“by a coalition of activist groups calling for a thorough investigation into the use of Agent Orange in South Korea”
One thing I noticed is that whenever the international media speaks of South Korean activists, they rarely seem concerned with naming these groups.

Is this what his world has come to, having to rely on part of the Korean Nat. Assembly “to take it the rest of the way”? He must be pretty miserable having to rely on the Koreans.

The story is playig out just like I have been saying it will since May. 23rd 2011. There never was any AGENT ORANGE. Yes there were c hemicals and soem pesticides but no Agent Orange. Steve House is ona hunt to get compensation for Issues that he may have gotten from military service yet more likely he got them later in life. If he had been in Vietnam and he was about 10 years older he would have been given the benifit of tghe doubt and been paid off long ago. Since He was not old enough to be in Vietnam he is trying to use the Agent Orange in Korea story. He was again not old eough to qualify even if he had been assigned on the DMZ.. So the Chemical dump story come out. He did not know that it was dug up within months of him leaving Camp Carroll in 1979. There are some heroes in this story the Main one who has kept public silence is Retired Major Scott Rowden, who challenged the command and got it dug up back in 1979. Major Rowden ended up with a less that perfect OER which likely caused him to retire as a Major rather than a LTC. I Salute the true hero. Then 1LT Rowden, He did the right thing then and should be given an award all these many years later for a job well done.. I know the names of those who swept the whole thing under the rug back then , it will do no good to reveal them now as they are all dead and gone. If the right want me to come to Korea and testify the truthI would accept their invitation,
