Here is a message from USFK about a protest this weekend:

Some 30,000 people plan to march from Seoul City Hall Plaza to Namdaemun to Seoul Train Station and end up at Namyeong Subway Station on Sunday August 21. Namyeong Subway Station is about 300 meters north of Camp Kim. The march will start at 10 a.m., the end time is unknown. They are demonstrating against labor issues with Hanjin Shipbuilding Company. Although this event is expected to be peaceful, all USFK personnel are advised to avoid the area.

You don’t want to be anywhere near any of these protests.

Frustrated people with pipes who probably blame the US for everything and nervous police with pepper gas and “Darth Vader” helmets don’t make for a nice touristy spot…

Fortunately, we were out of town…

The Maine Victory of angry shipbuilders needs to be Monitored because their Enterprise certainly has the Constitution to cause Titanic Missouri that would even shock Queen Mary.
