The true origins of pizza is satire at its finest. Mr. Pizza just made me a fan. It’s good to see this.

My idea of pizza includes tomato sauce, which was not available in Korea before the voyages of that noted Italian navigator, Christopher Columbus. No, he didn’t visit Korea, but his successors found out about the tomato in South America and then made it known world-wide.

A true pizza must have four distinct toppings: sauce, cheese, vegetables and meats.

Did the Koreans have cheese before they met Europeans? If not, that would leave their historic pizzas with only two out of four requirements fulfilled.

Leon, you don’t like traditional Korean pizza?
…miniscule quantities of sauce and cheese, sickly sweet corn, rubbery squid, and dry-azz sweet potato.
Yum!
I know a guy with a pizza shop. He lets me make my own pizza. He shakes his head in disgust when the blanket of cheese that can’t be seen under the shower of toppings tries to slide off the ocean of sauce.
But daaaaaaaaaamn, it’s good!

I had pizza in Russia. No tomato whatsoever. More like a very light mayonnaise under the cheese. Pretty disappointing.

“Interesting read about journalism in North Korea.”
Does journalism really exist in North Korea? Writing and publishing nonsense in a newspaper format does not make one a journalist.
