Does anyone care that the US and North Korea have restarted nuclear talks?:
North Korean and U.S. diplomats on Tuesday began a second day of talks during which Washington wants to see whether the North is indeed prepared to take concrete steps toward denuclearization before the stalled six-nation talks can resume.
North Korean Vice Foreign Minister Kim Kye-gwan and Stephen Bosworth, Washington’s outgoing top envoy for Pyongyang, and his successor Glyn Davies sat down at the North’s U.N. mission in Geneva for the discussions, the second bilateral encounter between both sides in less than three months. Hi, my name is Jane and I saw an old post of yours talking about the documentary “Seoul Train.” I was wondering if you knew where we could get the documentary, we were hoping to have a viewing in a couple of days- thought it would be easy to access it and finding it’s not!

But you probably won’t get it in a couple of days unless they offer express shipping.

Nuclear talks have restarted
where a pathway to peace will be charted.
“My round-eyed friend,”
“it will quickly begin,”
“as soon as your aid shipment’s departed.”

ChickenHead, this is a test for Obama and Clinton. If they give aid and get nothing, you can definitely say they’re no better than their predecessors.

Our invasion of Iraq was supposed to have made Gadhafi decide to give up his nukes program. But in the end even that didn’t save him from the mob.
Yesterday, on Leno, “Obama said Gadhafi’s demise sent ‘a strong message around the world to dictators’ that ‘people long to be free,’ and that ‘universal rights’ and aspirations should be respected.”
In these talks with the North Korean leadership maybe the new message should be that the ante is up. It will no longer be enough just to give up your nukes, you have to change your ways. Else you will have nowhere to hide when the mobs come for you.

Glans,
“ChickenHead, this is a test for Obama and Clinton. If they give aid and get nothing, you can definitely say they’re no better than their predecessors.”
Your thinking is flawed.
Just because I am fiscally and politically conservative, it certainly doesn’t mean I am a blind supporter of everything Republican…
…especially as what currently passes for a Republican, including Bush, shares few of my conservative fiscal and political values yet pushes for intrusive social conservatism.
My criticism of Obama is not because he is a “liberal”, a “Democrat”, or somehow inferior to a mythical ideal “Republican” based on these labels…
…so constantly bringing up Bush has no meaning… except as a way to further tarnish a poor president by comparing him to a president who will likely be remembered as the worst in modern American history.
These constant comparisons cheapen Obama far more than they cheapen Bush. It has been three years and Obama is, or should be, his own man… though there has been no real leadership from him.
Much of my criticism of Obama, apart from being a poor leader in a time where America needs GREAT leadership, is that he has continued or expanded many of Bush’s bad policies and decisions.
Most Americans would be better served by studying and understanding the actual actions of their leaders rather than blindly supporting them based on the increasingly-meaningless labels they give themselves and the equally meaningless soundbites they vomit up to the dumbed-down masses while they selfishly do what is best for them regardless of party affiliation or ideology.
As I have seen only a combination of fascism, corporatism, narcissism, and laziness from Obama, with mostly floundering inaction on the typical liberal and Democratic issues, I wonder how even the leftists can continue to take him seriously.
Really, the only comparison to Bush one can make with Obama is how closely he represents Bush’s third term in office.
