    Pyongyang or possibly Kaesong.

    Yup. Pyongyang.

“Hey, that’s my car!”, says some rich guy in Macau whose car was jacked a few months ago.

Now here’s where GI Korea comes in and says, “Yeah, I’m pretty sure that car belongs to someone in Macau, so Teadrinker gets the point.” :|

Hmmm, not hard to read a license plate.

Not hard indeed, but just because it has a Pyongyang plate does not mean the picture was taken there. I have loads of pics of my Seoul car taken in places far removed from the capital (sadly, though, my car in Honolulu can not leave Honolulu).

In fact, at first I thought this looked like Kaesŏng’s industrial complex, but then I remembered seeing this photo at Eric Lafforgue’s photo stream. The guy travels to North Korea a lot and takes some interesting photos. His shots of people are especially interesting.

    #4,

You still don’t get why I think the car was originally owned by someone in Macau?

#7 another interesting twist (besides the possible son #1′s car thing) is the fact that there are two American cars up front in this picture both with Pyongyang license plates on them. Whoda thunk it? Kind-of like seeing Pyongyang soju for sale in an LA 7-11…

    FORD…

    Found On Ryugyong Driveway?

Yes Kushibo got it. This is a picture of a Hummer in Pyongyang from Eric Lafforgue’s photostream. The Hummer is apparently used by a local media outfit in Pyongyang.

    #8,

North Korea does a lot of business in Macau, whose casinos used to be controled by local gangs until they were purged by the CCP as soon as Portugal returned the island to China. The local gangs were replaced by a different breed of gangsters (kleptocrats). It’s no coincidence that Kim Jong-il’s son has lived there for quite a long time.

    #10,
Further evidence that the local media is controled by the relatives of the gangsters who run the country, not that there ever was doubt about it.

I’m more intrigued by that Ford next to the Hummer.

Living in North Korea’s a bummer
but the foreign aid comes in the summer.
    In a good neighborhood,
you don’t have to eat wood,
’cause your dong gets a big US Hummer.
