Picture of the Day: Colorful Hallasan

Hallasan is a massive shield volcano which forms the bulk of Jeju Island and is often taken as representing the island itself.

The whole island is pretty much Hallasan. Just like the Big Island of Hawaii is essentially Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa.

I must say I’m impressed that in the past few months since the New7Wonders Corp. debacle, Jeju has finally invested in some new “standard” tourism photos. Only _two_ new ones that I’ve seen admittedly, but the old low res shots slapped on everything were looking really dated so it beats nothing.
