The Stars & Stripes has provided an update with more information about what happened in the Mapo Rape Case involving the USFK soldier identified as Private Kevin Robinson:
According to South Korean police, Robinson was introduced to the girl by a friend while they were drinking on the night of Sept. 16 in the popular entertainment district of Hongdae. Around 4:15 a.m on Sept. 17, he accompanied the girl to her goshitel, or dormitory-style boarding house. He left, but returned around 5:45 a.m, at which time the police say he raped her when she was too drunk to resist and stole her laptop worth 1 million won, or approximately $887, police said.
Robinson has claimed he and the girl had consensual sexual relations, but not intercourse, police said. However, physical evidence recovered at the scene confirmed that she had intercourse, police said. In addition, they said, closed-circuit television footage showed Robinson leaving her residence with a laptop.
A prosecutor with the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office said the girl was a virgin and was therefore unlikely to have agreed to sex. In South Korea, premarital sex remains largely taboo. [Stars & Stripes]
If the video evidence is legitimate it would seem to support him being a thief however doesn’t support him being a rapist. Maybe this guy is a rapist but I am not as convinced of his guilt as I was during the Dongducheon Rape Case.

He’s a server member in SK, he’ll be convicted even if she testified that it was consensual.
Honestly it’s a he said / she said situation, which in SK tends to be a toss up on who can look the most innocent and cry the most in court. I’d like to know what evidence they found in her room. They said it shows she had sex but not with whom. And how do they know if she was a virgin or not, you don’t exactly get certified out here for that.

Kevin Robinson would never have raped anybody. He has always been and will always be respectful towards women. He is my cousin and we were really close as we grew up. he followed in the foot steps of our grandparents(Air Force) and myself (Marines). 50% of our family is certified computer technicians and we have learned how to fix just about any issues that might happen. This sounds like a complete setup to try to collect a payment for silence or anyother type of schemes that some might try to commit on young american service members.

Hey, a lot of folks use smart phones to access this site. Ultra long words just messes up the system. Please limit yourself to less than 20 Ha’s in a row, so I and others dont have to flip back and forth across a LONG page.
And trust me, we get that you dont believe her statement as given.
Thanks in Advance.
