Brother of slain shopkeeper sorry he helped bring him from Korea to Chicago
http://www.suntimes.com/news/crime/9992966-418/brother-of-slain-shopkeeper-sorry-he-helped-bring-him-from-korea-to-chicago.html
John Chung helped bring his younger brother to the United States from their native Korea so he and his family could enjoy a better life.
But In Taik “James” Jung’s American dreams were snuffed out when he was shot dead by two military-veterans-turned-thieves during a botched robbery at his West Side store.
The judge lambasted Lee McGee, a 1991 Gulf War Army veteran, for enlisting the help of his nephew in the 2004 murder and for “laughing and joking” with Jung minutes before shooting him to death.
McGee also used the assistance of his girlfriend, who worked at Best Fit clothing in the 4000 block of West Madison, to remove the business’ video surveillance tape before the 2004 botched robbery there.
But what Latorria Fields didn’t know was that the camera system she believed was broken had been fixed by her boss Jung, 50.
“The killer was part of military and had a duty to protect people,” John Chung wrote of McGee in his statement Ahern read in court.

McGee is a murderer that happens to be a veteran. Not a veteran that murdered.
And I was in the first Gulf War (with the 3rd BN, 15th IN of the 24th ID)… nothing we saw there compares to what our current vets see. So I think the author of the piece through in the gratuitous remark about him being a “war” veteran to try and tie his actions to PTSD I’d bet.

CNN put together a short collection of Kim Jong Il’s achievements.
One I hadn’t heard before was he never went to the bathroom. So, he truly was full of sh!t.

Video of 7 Chinese American teens beating 1 Chinese American boy goes viral
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzceSkhRMS8&feature=player_embedded
http://www.suntimes.com/news/metro/10055237-418/brutal-bridgeport-beating-captured-on-youtube-video.html
The beating was captured on video by an accomplice and later posted on YouTube. The video shows the mob of young men yelling the n-word more than 25 times as they punched and kicked the victim — who appeared to be of Asian descent — in the face and body. They dragged the victim near metal Dumpsters in the alley behind the 2800 block of South Princeton. There they hit him with chunks of ice and choked him. One attacker used a stolen shoe, a sliver and black Nike sneaker, to pound the victim in the face.
“A random little kid. F— his a– up,” one attacker says on the video while the victim was beaten with the Nike.
Another attacker wearing a light hooded jacket and black ski mask who inflicted the most vicious blows screamed, “You ruined my f—— time. I will f—— kill you.”
Another attacker demanded the man’s backpack. The victim refused to give up the bag and begged to be let go while the attackers continued to punch him the face. “Am I speaking Chinese to you , n—–?” one attacker can be heard saying on the video.

I don’t know what time they wrote that, but the one who took off his mask was apparently arrested, Only 5 of the 7 were asian, one was white and one hispanic.
The video also seems to have been captured by an Asian girl who may be the girlfriend of the main guy, and got on tumblr trying to claim there was some kind of reason for all this and people shouldn’t be mad at the 7 guys for doing it.

Irregardless of their race, one of the few good things to something like this is the people who do it don’t realize how easy it would be to track them down after they post it on the internet.
The other good thing might be that it disproves the stereotype about all Asians being tech-smart

Well 4-chan got a hold of their info and started going nuts on them. The girl in question closed her tumblr:
http://amyhollyfeng.tumblr.com/
I did see it before she shuttered it and she did have a post up saying something to the effect of “you guys don’t know the reason behind why they did this, don’t judge them”
3:48 am on January 18th, 2012 11
Someone managed to grab her “Defense” video before she basically closed her youtube, and facebook, and basically everything else she had
