Anyone know Mr. Yi at the Yongsan Autocraft shop? He’s been with USFK since 1952 – starting off as a tent boy when he was 11 years old. After the war, he started working at the NCO Club, he eventually became the club manager, and for the last three decades or so, he’s managed the Yongsan Autocraft shop.

I wish the history office would do a project with guys like these- they have stories, they have photos, they have seen and experienced so much.

If it isn’t recorded, when they pass away, it will be like it didn’t happen.

    Vince, I agree.

I knew a KN at Casey who said his father had assisted the US Intelligence service during the Korean war.

Whenever he tried to get information about his father’s service from the Army, they said none was available, ie ..it was “Top Secret”.
