The ESLers in public schools in Seoul have had their days numbered. No more foreign instructors in high school. No more in middle school starting in August. Rumors that they’ll remove them from elementary schools starting next March. Gyeonggi province had the budgeting office cut all funding for FTs, but apparently some schools that were shipping their waygooks out found funding somewhere and called them back or hired new ones.

If the conservatives retain the Blue House and regain the leadership positions in the education and budgeting boards, maybe President Lee’s emphasis on getting native speakers will return or hold steady. If not, the expat community will shrink some over the next 5 to 6 years…

    Hakwon owners are chilling champagne…

The latest Thurman sends is a crock of USFK shit, as is most that flows out of there. He is pissed off because over 50 Field Grades and Sr NCO’s have been caught in violation of the BS “Readiness Curfew” in the last few months.

Obviously many SR folks believe it is a crock of USFK shit only designed to avoid incidents with Koreans at all costs and it appears Good Ole Boy Thurman is pissed because his Joseph Goebbels Reich Minister PAO office cannot convince anyone it was ever done for the stated reasons….”Readiness”, what a bullshit catchall.

Seems to me that if they were so worried about “Readiness” they wouldn’t have the Yongsan Garrison Cdr trying to figure out how to keep some of the clubs on post open to 0300 serving alcohol on the weekends.

Excuses For Curfew Begin When People With Poor Math Skills Confuse A Few Ten Of Screw-Ups Lacking Leadership With Tens Of Thousands Of Non-Screw-Ups Taking Care Of Themselves

    Why have a curfew?

Lowest Common Denominator. Like Boot Camp used to be.

You’d think even the newest GIs (or their NCOs at least) would figure out how to “counsel” the offending few…

Folks, Great exercise here, please add to the USFK Curfew Top 10 List. Quite possibly it could be sent to the Supreme Allied Cdr over at USFK as well as his CSM and Prince JD Johnson over at 8th Army.

Maybe the PAO Reich Minister at USFK could use some of this in his AFKN propaganda feeds to convince the unwashed masses that it is all occuring for our benefit and for the readiness of the worlds strongest alliance.

    USFK Curfew Top 10 List
    1. Curfew begins where leadership ends.
    2. Curfew begins where personal responsibility ends.
    3. Excuses for curfew begin when those with poor math skills confuse a few screw ups requiring leadership with thousands of non-screw ups following the rules.

Lets Hope The Smart Guys in DC Shit Can This Tour Normalization. Time to quit making more investments in staying when we should be looking to leave this place.

DoD’s Korea tour normalization plan on hold

    Staff report
    Posted : Monday Feb 13, 2012 11:05:28 EST

The Defense Department’s plan to normalize tours in South Korea appears to be in a holding pattern pending completion of needed infrastructure and budgetary considerations.

“U.S. Army soldiers assigned to Korea continue to have the option of applying for command sponsorship authorizations,” said Col. Andrew C. Mutter, spokesman for 8th Army, the major Army command in South Korea.

However, approval for such tours, in which family members accompany soldiers to Korea, is based on a soldier’s assignment and mission priority.

“It is important to note that we are not increasing our current command sponsorship authorizations, or are we transitioning to three-year tours like Germany, Italy and Japan,” Mutter said in an email to Army Times. “Although we are exploring other tour length options, no decisions have been made at this time.”

The U. S. has about 28,000 troops assigned to South Korea, 19,000 of them soldiers.

In 2008, just as U.S. Forces Korea launched a major construction, consolidation and restationing campaign, the Defense Department approved, on a limited basis, longer tours for troops assigned to Korea.

In testimony before Congress last year, military officials said the long-term goal for the command is provide enough support facilities for 14,000 families.

What exactly does this mean? What’s the difference between troops and soldiers? Are they talking differences between Army, Air Force, Marines?

And why is it I only hear about “Purity Bear” from lefties, never church folks?

Could it be that they’re the only ones who actually watch that kinda stuff?

Maybe it was created by lefties? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_flag#Ideological

Nah… Lefties never lie… Look at Obama… He kept all of his campaign promises, eh?

Well, none of them, actually; “but it was all Bush’s fault”… Even now. ;-)

Purity bear a false flag, Setnaffa?

I don’t think so. Religious fundies were the inspiration for Poe’s Law, which you just illustrated by assuming Purity Bear wasn’t authentic.
