Fatal accident at Camp Walker gate this morning (4 march). Apparently, a vehicle with 4 x Korean males tried to ram the gate at about 0630. Guessing they’re probably drunk. Gate guard (G4S) pushed the magic button that raises the barrier, meanwhile the vehicle was traveling about 45 mph. Passenger wasn’t wearing seat belt – you can guess the rest.
Perhaps in a stroke of luck, G4S just assumed responsibility of that gate from US Soldiers less than 24 hours prior.

“Passenger wasn’t wearing seat belt – you can guess the rest.”
G4S ran up to the car, looked at the mess on the windshield, and thought they were pizza delivery guys?

#1, have a link to this story? It’s still early but these guys look like they might be in the lead for the Darwin Awards this year. I bet they find a way to blame America.

Illinois man sentenced to life in prison for molesting Korean girls
http://www.dallasnews.com/incoming/20111020-illinois-man-sentenced-to-life-in-prison-for-molesting-plano-girl-for-years.ece
An Illinois man who preyed on two female children of Korean descent was sentenced to life in prison for sexual assault of a child, Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis announced today.
Stephen Silvey, 50, was found guilty by a jury of aggravated sexual assault of a child. After hearing evidence that Silvey had sexually assaulted another Korean female child, Retired State District Judge Curt B. Henderson sentenced Silvey to life in prison.
Testimony showed Silvey had an attraction to Korean girls. He met several Korean families at Oklahoma State University, where he befriended them and acted as if he was helping their families.

can anybody help identify this cemetery located somewhere near Munsan? The pic in the link was taken around 1955.
Ken Leighty (I’m pretty sure he has posted here before) has set up a pretty neat site for those US Army vets that served in Korea (primarily in the Western Corridor) and he has a lot of pics that he took from his time in the area and that have been posted by other vets. There’s a “where was this taken” section for unidentified locations. This is one, and I think I remember it from the 80′s, but I don’t remember where nor who the memorial was for… It might have been the Cav, or the Philippine soldiers…. that’s just me trying to go off memory. Any ideas or comments are welcomed…

9. Do you think it is still there?
7:00 pm on March 4th, 2012 11
Not sure if the “cemetery” is still there, but I seem to recall that memorial… but I may be mistaken, it seems quite a few memorials in Korea from that time period are very similar in style.

11. There is one small memorial erected by the Paju Korean War Veterans (Korea) for an American (MSG Kenney) who had been buried there by local villagers during the war. It is not far from Munsan. It was near Camp Garry Owen. The monument is still there but his remains were repatriated sometime in the 80′s or 90′s.
7:52 pm on March 4th, 2012 15
Thanks…. that would be about in the vicinity where the guy that took this pic thinks it was located…. do you know if the memorial was this large? Did you notice in the pic the white crosses on the hilltop (obviously grave sites)? I love looking at old photos from that era. Very interesting.
7:56 pm on March 4th, 2012 16
As the article stated, I think all the individual small UN affiliated cemeteries were relocated either to Pusan, Japan or ultimately their home countries.
The memorial I am talking about could be the same area but the current one (for MSG Kenney) is not as old or as large. If there was a cemetery there, it was relocated long ago, as most were.
8:03 pm on March 4th, 2012 17
A memorial that large, built that quickly after the truce was signed, must still be there (wherever “there” is lol) as it must have marked a large battle.
8:07 pm on March 4th, 2012 18
17. I seriously would not bet on that.

OK today Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a statement at AIPAC meeting, talking about what they the State of Israel can not allow as far as nuclear armament by Iran. Consequently he meet with US president Obama later and make joint statement to make a long story short. Do we have bad cop good cop situation here, where the US president Obama appear to be playing the role of good cop and Israel Netanyahu playing the bad cop, I see mass deception on the part of these two governments, in reality Americans don’t think no more about Israel than any other country so what is all this love affair and support coming from, for Israel. ……..US government ONLY. As being low on the food chain here in America I can see that the America’s foreign policy with respect to the Palestinians Israels conflict is one sided in favor of Israel. Now if I was a fair broker I would stand down boths government and give them a good dressing down no one without the other. And let them know that this !@#$%^&* got to stop because it is putting Americans lives’s in danger because of our own doing, also I would give them a example of how Americans different races live side by side and there is pretty much no problems, major that is Further more the US government has put my and other average citizens life in danger that travel abroad because of this 99.9 percent favoritism for Israel and should be providing personal security when we travel. overseas….LOL heheheh. I like humour in the most darkest situation. Note: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spend way to much time in the White House and on Capital Hill?$?$?$?$= corruption to the bone. NOW TALK ME DOWN…….

“in reality Americans don’t think no more about Israel than any other country so what is all this love affair and support coming from, for Israel.”
They have hugely influential lobbying organizations, most notably AIPAC. It doesn’t matter what most Americans are concerned about right now — the economy and jobs.
When you have the power to directly make or break the politicians in Washington, you too can dictate when and where Americans commit their lives and money.
Despite all the tough talk, when the Middle East is inflamed, it will be the USA, not Israel bearing most of the burden to quell it, while Europe and the rest of the world stand back shaking their heads in disbelief.
6:50 pm on March 6th, 2012 25
If it wasn’t for Israel, US would never have went to war with Iraq.
8:23 pm on March 6th, 2012 26
Yep!!!#24-25 I concur and to look back on 9/11 I think those peoples and building would have never been taken down by those’s who are fighting for what they think is right. If the US had been a more even and sophisticate x2 very snart and crafty broker with respect to this G!@#D$%^& palestinian and Israelis matters. Those peoples and building would be still standing today. Israel MOSSAD/special operation operatives knows how to channel push back from the Arabs world >>>> to America Instead of those C@k#S$k%^&* getting on a airplan and going the other way<<<<<<< they came here. In closing what we got here is a Samson and Goliath type situation we'll be lucky to live thru" it. he h…….@ least some of US and I mean US to, it all the same.hehe again.

This targetting of Saudi diplomats makes me think Iran might consider them to be the source of the murders of Iranian nuclear scientists.
I hadn’t thought of that but is plausible.
11:24 pm on March 6th, 2012 29
23. Et al…
A number of reasons for our Israel love. Israel is the only true western style democracy in that region. They have a powerful lobby, as mentioned, and there is the perpetual guilt trip over the holocaust. They’ve gotten a lot of mileage out of that one. Few want to speak against our policies toward Israel for fear of being labelled antisemitic.
Also, and don’t forget, there are powerful segments of our society, like the evangelicals, who have a special hard on for Israel. It is a religious thing. Everything from the Israelis controlling the holy land all the way up to their desire of bringing on Armageddon. No joke. Sad but true.
10:33 am on March 8th, 2012 30
Now this is a perfect example of the US government using it’s head to deploy American military as advisories to central Africa to train those that want to bring this mad man to justice. Perfect because American young peoples lives are not put directly in danger there is some danger but much less in the advisory role. Train, equipped and monitor the situation. This guy should not be so hard to find with a large Army following him around, food and other items got to be bought from somewhere to feed such a large group. I would start off with all kinds leaflets explaining to the kids as a group or if he or she is alone in that undertaking of how to bring him to justice and if he refuse ol well lights out.
1:41 pm on March 8th, 2012 31
Mark my worlds Israel is going to cause unmanageable pain to American just by association if America don’t wake up and become a fair and partial player for it’s worth in this matter. It is upmost serious for America to be a fair broker and have a serious attitude to clean this mess up concerning the Palestinian and Israelis. With the many chances that the power’s have allow to be and nothing done, someday that little piece of land is going to cause much more grieved than 9/11. Israel/Jews are not the only ones who had the definition of holocaust happened to them and not going to be the last, history dictates that. America need to get out of the nations brokerage business. Because the American system of federal adjudication of foreign policy is flawed because of corruption and cronyism in the system. It had success with South Korea, Japan, Germany as far as giving a hand in nation building. However in this modern time/world of doing business in diplomacy you have to be sophisticated, smart, claver, and crafty in your approach to dial in on any situation with success to handle today’s modern peoples in this modern worlds, yep! it’s many world on this planet .. Chinese, African, Cubans, German, etc. I really would like to know the Chinese world CCP leadership Confucius’s thought on the Palestinian and Israel conflict, not their usually talking point for public consumption but their close doors meeting where you have the top 16 ( eight is in there) leaders discussing current and world events thought the teaching of Confucius’s philosophy of thinking with respect to stability and social harmony. Heehaw ask the Tibetans and Wegor peoples about Chinese social harmony hehe. Chinese cal it their soft approach….unrelated but related to Israel putting their foot on the Palestinian necks with America’s weight. Some say Israel is the only democracy in that area. It’s a pitiful democracy if I should say so. The heart beat of America don’t give a D!@#$%^&* about democracy’s the government will do business with any swinging D@#$%^&* if something is in it for them Saudi Arabia.is not a democracy nor is Red China or Vietnam but the US is doing business with them. I would tell any government if your system of democracy is so tight, smell so good you want be able to keep the peoples from copying your way they will emulate you want to be just like you and you want have to beat them over the head to understand your democracy. You have to exemplify. My ADD is killing me to write this stuff. heheheh……………………………..May be I should call up this guy that made that KONY 2012 film and ask him to help out in the Palst/ISR conflict unmmm

Ok since we have a lot of warmongering going on in America. I think it will be in order to bring back the draft so some rich kids can see a little action and with the draft you get free college education the system got to give theses kids something tangeble for their service. Norway does it, so what say you America. Oh Norway have free health car to. And the country is not bankrupted. Talk me down
12:50 am on March 9th, 2012 33
I really don’t care if the US government tax me to pay for health care for other Americans as long as they keep their weight correct. It will all come out in the wash because someday somebody got to sit in that fox hole and they might as well be healthy sitting there. And dental, health care without dental care is stupid bad teeths is bad for your health.

Be careful your Ass When you pass the steal-barrier….
and Be careful your body when you see their pistol.
Most of them are fresh meat.
Don’t worry about Formmer Guys…
Because the stupid pays from G4S is same with the pay of general Building’s security guard.
… zzz….
Only what you gotta think of is ” Be careful of your Ass when you go through that barrier….Be well.!!!…fellas…

#34 I have know ideal what you are talking about, could you please put a little more subject and verb agreement in your sentence so others and I can better appreciated your thought. The other day I was reading some information about Chinese Black Jails and Gulags where the authorities take those who descent from the status quo “way of thinking”. These peoples has know rights and their family have know ideal where they may have been taken;. I see that china has a very dark under belly when it come to human right and peoples being free to practice what ever dialogue they chooses. That is their right by law of nature borned free given the rights to be free of all restraints and to use dialogue for the common good of all. You can tell a lot about a country the way they treat it’s people, so I would say to America If this country put it’s foot on the Chinese peoples neck like this, then what do you think what they will do to you if they got the ups on you. Snap out of America don’t be so mesmerized by a few plastic trinkets and shiny buildings. thats the carrot; Bam! box shut close, to late trapped. Stay alert stay alive, somebody famouse once said talk softly and carry a big stick good ideal cause this china train is and it not blowing steam but black smoke….. To Dialogue anchors Tian Wei and Yang Rui… and others why don’t you do some stories on Black Jails in China instead of all ways knocking the west. And king of Swaziland let your people go there is know need for a monarchy government constitution or other wise in this modern time. It is absolutely ridicules for some humans to do or want to be so much more than other. We all walk around with you know what in our gut so why do we think that we are so much better than another human being. there got to be a higher life form that don’t have ……….? inside of them
