Picture of the Day: Sydney Officially Designates “Koreatown”

This photo taken on May 22, 2012, shows a sign indicating Koreatown at the corner of Pitt and Liverpool Streets in downtown Sydney. The sign, set up at the request of a Korean business-people's group, refers to a 150-meter-long street where a range of Korean restaurants, beauty shops, cafes, souvenir shops and Korean-style Chinese restaurants are located. 1- That’s right! Why are they assuming that Koreans will live there just because other Koreans are already there? Koreans are #1 when it comes to assimilating with other cultures and trying new things and making sure they have new experiences while overseas. In fact Koreans are #1 at everything all of the time everywhere. Did you know Koreans invented everything? It’s in Korean elementary schol textbooks so that makes it legally binding everywhere.
Rename “Australia” to “New Korea Dokdo-land” and rename the Pacific Ocean as “Korea Sea” because we found a map on a placemat at Denny’s that a Korean kid drew on with crayons and that says it’s so. Rename DisneyWorld as “EverlandLotteWorldDokdoland” because Koreans invented theme parks. It’s true. Do it now or we’ll protest outside the US embassy with candles and someone dressed up like a cow!

Let’s turn this around, shall we?

1- That’s right! Why are they assuming that Americans will invade there just because other Americans are already there? Americans are #1 when it comes to assimilating with other cultures and trying new things and making sure they have new experiences while overseas. In fact Americans are #1 at everything all of the time everywhere. Did you know Americans invented everything? It’s in American elementary schol textbooks so that makes it legally binding everywhere.
Rename “Asia” to “Fifty second state” and rename the Pacific Ocean as “American Sea” because we got the biggest ships and biggest guns. Rename Iraq and Afghanistan as “YankeeDoodleLand” because Americans invented gun diplomacy. It’s true. Do it now or we’ll blow all you little worthless third world countries to smithereens because we are Americans and we are always right, we’re number one!

    5. She was being sarcastic. It was funny. Whereas your attempt at “sarcasm” simply delineated base truths.

    /we knew you’d come around.

I was being sarcastic too, experiences based on living in the countries that the US occupies currently. I thought my piece was funny and based on some truth. But nobody gives me a thumbs up, how sad.

You want a Thumbs Up, Tom? No problem!

Just give me your opinion on the North Korean Navy committing Acts of Piracy against Chinese fishermen in Chinese waters! I don’t care if you’re for or against it, I just want to see how long I can bust your b@lls over it until you answer!

A thumbs up! For you! On ROKDrop! How can you resist!

When, in the last 190 years or so, has the US occupied Canada?

The National Map Museum of Korea will prove that everything belongs to Korea, except North Korea. http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/news/nation/2012/05/117_111572.html

    #13,

I don’t work for a hagwon, so nice try. Besides, if you’d set foot in Korea in the last 3 years you’d know that the vast majority of hagwon teachers are American. Yes, your economy sucks.

Even Teadrinker agrees with me.

By the way, there wouldn’t be any Canada town anywhere, because let’s face it. Canada has no culture of its own. It’s either various European or various Asian cultures. Everybody’s in it for themselves. No difference with Americans, really. Same language and same culture.
