More like a passenger ‘ship’. The canal has in fact been opened for awhile now. There have been smaller boats (like the ones that carry people on the Han River cruises) plying the waters of the canal once or twice a day for a few months, I believe. And the cargo port next to Gimpo Airport, while under construction in places, is operational – I saw a cargo ship being unloaded by cranes a few days ago…
