Here is a good story about a Korean Olympic Gold Medalist who’s success was able to lead to a new home for his parents:

A construction company on Tuesday promised an apartment to gymnast Yang Hak-seon, who endured grueling poverty and won Korea’s first gymnastics gold medal at the London Summer Olympics on Tuesday.
Yang told reporters in London that he would like to buy a house for his parents using the money he would receive as rewards from the government and sport organizations. [Chosun Ilbo]
You can read more at the link, but pictured above is Yang’s parents current home.

After hearing about the blind archer who isn’t really blind, I’d like to know the details of the story.

Probably a lot more pyeong available in that vinyl house/greenhouse than what they’ll have in their new 23-pyeong ‘efficiency’ apartment…

Sure, but wouldn’t that be like calling the thousands of people who spend their summers at campgrounds back home homeless?

It’s was better there than with or caring for his parent(s), if they had a nicer place the parent(s) would want to live with them which might just happen now. Some people prefer living frugally.
