A US soldier is being investigated in Dongducheon for allegedly sexually assaulting possibly a juicy girl:
Photo from the Stars and Stripes.
A U.S. soldier is under investigation for the alleged attempted sexual assault of a female bar employee in Dongducheon, South Korea, police said.
The 2nd Infantry Division soldier — identified only as a man in his 20s — was drinking at a bar near Camp Casey shortly before midnight Tuesday when he kissed and tried to sexually assault the Korean woman in her mid-20s, according to a Dongducheon police official.
The woman’s clothes were torn and she was treated for minor injuries at an area hospital, police said.
Army officials said Wednesday the soldier was in Korean National Police custody and was being questioned as part of a joint KNP-U.S. Criminal Investigation Command investigation. They did not release any information about the soldier or details of the incident. [Stars & Stripes]
You can read the rest at the link, but since the alleged victim is described as a bar worker working outside of Camp Casey it is likely that she is a Filipina juicy girl. Based on prior experience, when it comes to stuff happening in the ville, I recommend waiting for all the facts to come out before drawing any definitive conclusions. What actually happened may be very different from what is currently being reported.

At least he committed his drunken assault before curfew.

The way these juicy bars are set up, the girl can get you for $50 bucks or more in an hour. Let’s say the G.I. was getting drunk, maybe 10 beers. That’s 10 possible lady drinks, about a $100 and he probably isn’t going to get a damn thing from her. I seriously don’t see why there is anyone even going in these clubs.

Ten lady’s drinks!!?
A drunk newbie can be excused for that the first time, but nobody should make that mistake more than once.

Are there even Korean women in their mid-20s working in GI towns anymore? Most of them are Filipinas. I thought that picture was taken in Philippines, but it’s actually GI camp town in Korea. Most Korean juicy girls don’t want to service US troops who are known as poor, prone to violence, and too much hassle.

“Are there even Korean women in their mid-20s working in GI towns anymore?”
The answer to that question is yes. Over the past couple of years, more university students work during their school breaks. Some decide to stay on indefinitely. In Songtan right now, there are many more Koreans than filipinas.

“US troops who are known as poor, prone to violence, and too much hassle” as opposed to pimply-faced losers who sit back too scared to even be a volunteer to stock shelves a the local homeless shelter while they snipe at the people who guarantee the freedoms they abuse?
Why don’t you grow a pair and join the military of the country you love instead of trying to hide behind a bunch of skirts?

As for the 2ID soldier, where was his “Battle Buddy”?

Answer: Don’t pay her, plus she files sexual assault charges on you.
Don’t they want payment in advance and a tip afterwards anymore?

Korean girls are making a resurgence in the ville.

Regardless of whether she’s Korean or Filipina or American, this man has a problem if he gets violent with a bar girl… or any woman for that matter. TDC has too many sexual assaults. It’s becoming like Okinawa where two Sailors were just arrested for raping a woman.

Never been to Itaewon, have you?

Poor? I made six figures last year and have that much rolling around in the bank and I’m in the military.

“Poor? I made six figures last year and have that much rolling around in the bank and I’m in the military.”
Are you:
1. a Full Bird with 16+ years in service or a general officer.
2. one of those guys I hear about on AFN with the fraud, waste, or abuse problem.
3. full of sh!t.
Which one?

I haven’t been there since 78. Do the poor rural families still sell their daughters to mamasan once they turn about 12 or so, so they can get in a little practice servicing the local Korean males for a few years before they graduate (and get old enough) for GI’s?

@15,
You need to look up the military pay tables. Factor in COLA, HDIP, and my language pay and it’s about $104k.
And you have no idea how the military works if you think there are any full-bird colonels running around with anything less than 21-22+yrs. 16 years? Wrong rank bud.
4:08 am on October 18th, 2012 18
Don’t forget BAS and OHA. Yea, I’m not pocketing the OHA but I make about 400$/mo off the utilities plus the OHA in itself would still be paid in the form of a lump-sum stipend as a contractor and is factored into what they make as well.

Jimbob,
I met a full-bird colonel who was 34 years old at the time. I saw his military i.d. and his driver’s licence.

Westmoreland made 0-6 (the first time) at 30 in 1944.
At a very minimum, it would take 21 years of military service (see article at: http://usmilitary.about.com/od/promotions/l/blofficerprom.htm).

Ok, I was drinking at the time in Itaewon. He was with a major. Maybe he was only a Lt. Col. It was a few years ago…like 2004. He said that he went to West Point and the war college and was in Iraq or Afganistan. He showed me his military i.d. and his driver’s licence. Would that be possible…at age 34?
6:22 am on October 18th, 2012 23
According to your chart it still isn’t possible. Unless this guy had a fake military i.d….i don’t know.
8:58 am on October 18th, 2012 24
I know of at least one fellow that done got made a light colonel at the tender age of 27.
He was pretty good at that self promotion but he wasn’t so great at fighting them indians.

So all Korean women work down at the Ville these days? So all Korean women prefer not to involve themselves with U.S. Servicemembers because they’re “scrubs” and they’re prone to violence?
Way to speak on behalf of all Korean women, Tom…
If I remember correctly, most Korean women prefer men that have stable jobs and their shit kept together.

And yes Tom, that was what you were really trying to say…

Folks, we’re talking about today’s military not military of WW2 with often had droves of officers getting wiped out and where it was feasible to get promoted much faster. Generally the military doesn’t just arbitrarily promote somebody that young, that quickly.
11:47 am on October 20th, 2012 29
He must have been a very young colonel that completed his undergraduate and graduate education very early, and then was commissioned into the military at the age of 18 (17 with parents’ permission). Even then, he had to have been promoted earlier than his peers multiple times.

All this gets boring after a while…..we need battle buddies and supervisors at each club with a pass system implemented for the protection of the Soldiers. You cannot trust these girls or their employers and they will screw you over (no pun intended) every chance they get. Tear down TDC and turn it into a shopping mall
