Thanksgiving 1950 in Korea came on the 23 November. The news that the 17th Infantry Regiment 7th Infantry Division had reached the Yalu River on the 21 November. My unit Charley Battery 52nd Field Artillery Battalion was in support of the Australian Battalion Patrols from the 14 November to 20 November. These patrols were in the Taehung-dong area as enemy activity began to increase all along the 8th Army front. On the 21 November we rejoin the battalion 4 miles south east of Pakchon and had Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings on the 23 November.and our mail caught up with us.I got 2 big box of food stuff that my mother had sent me.sign 40 yards
