Kushibo had a recent posting on this site that was quite interesting in regards to current Korean President-Elect Park Geun-hye speaking English at an event in Hawaii 40 years ago:
She was speaking at the event because she was the acting first lady at the time for her dad President Park Chung-hee because her mom had been assassinated by a North Korean agent in 1974. In response to the video the Marmot’s Hole has an audio clip posted of Park giving an English speech to the Seoul Foreign Correspondent’s Club last month. This time is about 40 years in between the speeches and Park does a great job in both. The speech to the SFCC was especially impressive because it was an hour long and she did a better job delivering the speech than most native English speakers I know. I think this is an indication that when it comes to public speaking events especially in English that Park prepares herself very well.
