Report Claims Cheonan Was Sunk Due To Seoul Refusal To Send Aid

» by in: North Korea

Here is the Lee Myung-bak administration’s response to the recent Kim Jong-un speech claiming he wants to end confrontation with the South:

North Korea sank the Navy corvette Cheonan and shelled Yeonpyeong Island in 2010 in protest against Seoul’s refusal to provide economic aid, a senior Cheong Wa Dae official here claimed Wednesday.

The official told reporters the Lee Myung-bak administration attempted several times to arrange a summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-il but was unwilling to pay the price the North demanded. Incensed, the North then sank the ship and shelled the island.

The claims from the outgoing administration came a day after North Korean leader Kim Jong-un struck an unusually conciliatory note in his New Year’s address and are being read as a warning for the incoming government not to be taken in by his rhetoric.  [Chosun Ilbo]

You can read the rest at the link, but the price the North wanted for a summit was $500-$600 million in aid.

Well this sounds like a good reason for the North Koreans to open fire on an South Korean island.

Well why should they be given anything since in the past it has not gone to those who really needed it but used to make the troops fat or sold on the streets?

Every penny given to the communist pigs in Pyongyang adds to and prolongs the misery of the Korean People.

Koreans with artillery throwing a tantrum. Sounds about right.

    3. Absolutely. As does every visit by numbskulls like Jimmy Carter and friends. Aiding and abetting the enemy.

No rewarding the North for killing people and destroying property.
