Picture of the Day: Vice President at the DMZ

Visiting U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, along with his granddaughter, look at North Korea through binoculars during a visit to a guard post near the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) on Dec. 8, 2013. The zone bisects the two Koreas. (Press corps-Yonhap)

Is it a requirement for high-profile politicians to wear a bomber jacket when visiting the DMZ?  I guess it is better than having them wear a hanbok.  ;-)

I thought sequestration did away with taxpayer-funded Bring Your Granddaughter to Work Day.

The “wannabes” always wear the leather bomber jacket. Trying to copy the President who has his own, courtesy AF1.

    Of course.

Politicians finally got wise to the old lenscaps-still-on trick.

The new trick is the backwards-binoculars trick.

Actually, it was intended for Biden.

    “Gosh, they look so small.”

“Sir, they are very far away. Just keep walking forward until you get a good view.”
