Two 2nd Infantry Division soldiers should be thankful they got off light with just fines after assaulting Korean policemen in two separate incidents: Two U.S. Forces Korea servicemembers have been fined for attacking South Korean police officers and destroying property in separate St. Patrick’s Day incidents in Seoul. A 2ID soldier is going away for a long time after being convicted of raping two other soldiers: A 2nd Infantry Division soldier was sentenced to 11 years in prison Friday after being found guilty of raping two female soldiers. Pfc. Jose Antonio Claudio, of the 1st Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 4th Chemical Company, also received a dishonorable discharge, a rank reduction to E-1 and must forfeit all pay. The 2nd Infantry Division, USAG Red Cloud and Area I honored more than 100 community volunteers at the Warrior’s Club on Camp Casey April 24. The check presented during the ceremony represented over half a million dollars in service to our community!
