That appears to be what the Stars and Stripes is claiming in this article: The Army is investigating the commander of a battalion at the nation’s primary missile-defense base for condoning sexual affairs at the remote facility in Alaska, creating what subordinates called a “toxic environment.” The service already was looking into the commander at Fort Greely, dedicated to defending the U.S. from incoming missiles, for promoting a World War II-style pinup calendar with photos of his wife and scantily clad female soldiers. The investigation involving Lt. Col. Joseph Miley,

Based on what I have read online about Wilkerson he seems to me to be a bit sleazy which this latest revelation further shows: The Air Force plans to investigate an allegation that fighter pilot Lt. Col. James Wilkerson, whose sexual assault conviction was overturned by a lieutenant general in part because the general believed Wilkerson was an upstanding husband and officer, had an extramarital affair in 2004 with a woman who says she subsequently gave birth to his baby, according to an email obtained by Stars and Stripes. I have been waiting to let this story kind of develop before posting on it and it now appears via a reader tip that Petraeus’ mistress that caused his resignation was his biographer Paula Broadwell: CIA Director David Petraeus dramatically resigned today after allegedly having an affair with his biographer. The alleged affair was uncovered after the FBI launched an investigation into the biographer, Paula Broadwell, for allegedly hacking into the former general’s email, NBC News and Slate reported. Broadwell, who researched the book ‘All In’ for three years, had extensive

Here is an update on the former 173rd Brigade commander who was relieved for an inappropriate relationship: The brigade commander seemed born to one day wear stars on his shoulder boards. The son of a distinguished Army general, his own career — including war-zone command of the esteemed 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team — had soared impressively toward flag rank. Now it’s all in tatters. Fired from command, his next battle will come at court-martial June 11, when he will fight charges that he defrauded the Army out of tens

Maybe not with a fourteen year old but this same situation of a young soldier with a young wife being separated by a tour to South Korea causing marrital problems is not uncommon: A western Pennsylvania Army wife will spend six months to two years in jail for having sex with a 14-year-old boy last year. For those that don’t know, adultery is a crime in South Korea: The Supreme Court Monday upheld an appellate court’s ruling that sexual intercourse outside of marriage, committed when divorce proceedings were put on hold at the request of one part of a couple, constitutes adultery. The court handed down a jail sentence of four months suspended for two years, handed down to a married man, identified as Kim, and his lover by an appellate court.
