Among lily pads meandering at sea, daisy-like buildings hovering in the clouds, and apartments supported on abandoned bridges, the competition for the most mindblowing renderings for the world’s future cities is remarkably stiff. But the recently released renderings of this unambiguously anatomical building in South Korea? Yep, they could just take the cake. (Or at the least tie with some extra-weird new proposals.) [Curbed.com] You can read more about this proposed city to be constructed near Incheon at the link.

Nine South Korean and nine foreign airlines have been affected since Saturday, the Transport Ministry said. The flights had to rely on alternative navigation systems but were in no danger, the ministry added. The South has accused the North – with which it remains technically at war – of similar incidents in the past. “We’ve confirmed the GPS [global

Here is a story in the Stars & Stripes about former residents of Wolmi-do Island in Incheon wanting compensation for their losses during the Korean War: Every September, thousands of U.S. and South Korean troops and veterans gather at this port city for pomp-filled ceremonies, speeches and even re-enactments, marking the anniversary of the Incheon Landing, a daring amphibious assault that became the turning point in the Korean War. But not Jeong Ji-eun, a quiet 68-year-old taxi driver whose father was killed when U.S. pilots strafed their village on Wolmi

Incheon International Airport is one of the best airports I have ever flown in or out of. It definitely beats the good old days when old school Korea guys like me remember using Kimpo Airport to get into and out of Korea. The airport is beautifully designed and easy to get in and out of. The subway is now connected to the airport making it even easier to get to and from the airport though I prefer taking the Limousine Bus myself.  The quality of this airport is evident by

Via a reader tip comes this report of yet another crackdown on the North Korean backed anti-US leftists that tried to tear down the MacArthur Statue in Incheon five years ago: Seoul police arrested two pro-Pyongyang activists on charges of starting a campaign to remove a statue of U.S. Gen. Douglas MacArthur from a park in Incheon under orders from North Korea. According to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, two leaders of the Korean Confederation Unification Promotion Council were arrested on charges of receiving directives from a North Korean agent from
