The Saenuri partisans are piling on now against Presidential candidate Moon Jae-in in regards to former President Roh supposed attempt to not recognize the NLL: The ruling Saenuri Party piled on more allegations about late President Roh Moo-hyun’s denying the de facto inter-Korean maritime border at a 2007 summit in Pyongyang, obviously trying to make the issue work in its favor in the presidential race. And it said the Democratic United Party’s presidential candidate Moon Jae-in, who was Roh’s chief of staff, must have known about Roh’s actions more than

This document may be an indication why the North Koreans decided to increase their provocations along the NLL after current President Lee Myung-bak was elected because he would not negotiate with the North Koreans based on what Roh Moo-hyun had agreed to in prior negotiations: A recently discovered document shows that in 2007, the late liberal President Roh Moo-hyun told former North Korean leader Kim Jong-il that he didn’t recognize the inter-Korean maritime border drawn up after the Korean War as an effective boundary between the two countries, a ruling

March 16th, 2012 at 3:14 am » Comments (13)
That is what Henry Seggerman the Manager of Korea International Investment Fund is advocating for in this recent op-ed posted on Oh My News International: Loosening up the NLL is not my crazy new idea. Actually, I borrowed it from South Korea’s last President. Less than five years ago, Roh Moo-hyun diverted enough attention from the endless nuclear shell game to negotiate a “special peace and cooperation zone in the West Sea encompassing Haeju and vicinity” with North Korea. Near the end of his rule the deal did not close, and it was
