There has been an ongoing discussion in the Open Thread in regards to Korean drivers being the worst in the world. Haven driven in many countries I can honestly say this is not true. Koreans may be poor at following traffic laws by American standards, but that doesn’t mean they are poor drivers. South Korea Ranks Third in Accident Related Deaths of Children

Non-surprisingly much of this high ranking is due to traffic accidents: South Korea ranked third among the member nations of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in terms of accident-linked deaths for children, a report showed Wednesday. Korea’s Obesity Rate the Lowest In the OECD

Here is something that Korea can rightfully take pride in: Korea has the lowest obesity rate among members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. The Strategy and Finance Ministry said Sunday that the national obesity rate was three-and-a-half percent. The finding came after the OECD released results of a three-year survey on obese and overweight people aged 15 or above living in the organization’s 30 member states.
